The Wing Chun group we affiliate with includes
another 3rd Degree Grade and together we set policy, statement of
work, lesson plans and grading objectives.
As we progress and become better students and
teachers moving towards Master level the seniors seek out different masters and
affiliate with them. This is the right time for us to do that as we know what
we are looking for and why. We are currently in contact with Wing Chun
exponents across the world and our objective is in the next few years visit
China, New York and Eastern Europe where all the best world masters are.
If fast track students wish to participate in this
great martial arts journey contact your relevant Sehing to establish a meeting
with Sifu Alun to create the ground rules and your objective.
Additionally we seek out other martial artists to
gives us completeness and to stop ourselves becoming too inward looking.
Policies for equality and vulnerable adults are available on request.
In short, these are the overriding principles that are followed in the club to ensure the safety of the student, any related persons but also the instructor.
A child, vulnerable student or female student should be accompanied by a guardian or friend at all times.
For any external visits the carer is responsible for a vulnerable student or must pass responsibility to another party but not an instructor unless there is prior agreement and there is a group. The safety and the enjoyment of the club activities are extremely important and where less-able students are impacting this, the carer or parent should be training as their partner.
Carers or connected parties must never chastise or direct a student whilst the student is in a class unless the safety of another person is in jeopardy and it has escaped our notice. The growth and development of a student is the most important aspect and it has the highest value and cannot be bought. Any other issues you bring to our attention should be judged in relationship to that concept.
Martial arts are a dangerous activity and if a student is unable to follow safety rules they will be excluded. It normally is another person that gets injured and we don't want the student learning self-discipline at the expense of another student's health.
The instructors are taught to treat everyone equally. If you feel this is not happening please talk to us.
If you are bringing an issue to the attention of the club please see if it can be resolved amicably first by discussing with the manager Paul Allen
Please don't gossip about things that should be or shouldn't be - If you have a great idea share it with us.
Hard training is for only some people. If this is what you want then use the right equipment and train as directed. Anything else is ego and will get someone hurt.
